Cricket career of Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid started playing cricket at the age of 12 in his school Team. He got selected to play Ranji Trophy debut in February 1991 against Maharashtra in Pune . He played this match at his college days. Rahul Dravid has become a regular member of Indian national team in the year 1996. In 2003 World cup Rahul Dravid was Vice- Captain where India reached the final and in 2007 World cup he was appointed as Captain. Rahul Dravid was appointed as the captain of the Indian cricket team in October 2005. Devendra Prabhudesai wrote Rahul Dravid's Biography "The Nice Guy Who Finished First" in 2005. Rahul Dravid announced his resignation in September 2007.
